Chicken and pumpkin

This morning decided to try something new. Sliced some pumpkin thinly, minced and mashed some ginger (could have just grated it, but I already had the knife and chopping board out), and cut up some chicken meat. Heated a little oil in the frying pan, added the ginger. Then the pumpkin. Stirred and heated for a short while, and added a little water as needed to keep it from drying out. Laid the chicken pieces on the layer of pumpkin and covered the pan, in effect steaming the chicken over low heat.

When done, stirred everything up before serving.

Verdict: good, interesting to have a ginger taste with pumpkin. Worth tweaking and trying again.

No salt, pepper or other seasoning was used in the production of this meal.
